Yesterday afternoon, I proposed the question of whether or not there was more to Gaborik being "sore" than us fans were aware of. Well, Steve Zipay of Blue Notes got to the bottom of the story, and has reported that Gaborik is suffering from what is suspected to be a tweaked groin.
Marian Gaborik has not been a participant in on-ice drills during training camp, and this may be your reason. I will not jump to conclusions just yet, however, as we do not know the severity of the injury or when it happened. For now, this is all that is known, but I will be sure to keep readers posted.
Per Andrew Gross: Marian Gaborik called "day-to-day" by John Tortorella. Still a possibility to participate in tomorrow's scrimmages.
